“Better than GREAT”

I just spent 10 days in glorious Thailand. As an annual visitor to Thailand I am accustomed to warm and friendly service but the Bur Rasa is second to none.

The Front Office manager greeted us with a warm smile and called us by name as we stepped out of the car on arrival and throughout our stay the same attention to personal detail was present.

The rooms are cozy, the gardens beautiful, food excellent (try the fresh seafood daily from the market - we even went with the chef!) and spa nice.

My only complaint is the amount of rain during our visit didn't allow for the perfect tan, but you cannot have everything!

“Totally loved the Buri Rasa”

We Stayed at the Buri Rasa in Aug 07 for 8 nights. From the day we arrived at the hotel the staff were very welcoming. We were checked in within minutes and shown to our room which was a standard delux room. The decour in the room was stunning with four poster bed and everything you could possibly need for your stay. The only down side to our room and you couldn't even complain that much was the fact that the mini bar fridge wasn't as cold as we would have liked it but as far as gripes go thats it! the bathroom was very modern with the bath being the main feature, there was also a great walk in shower. It was my birthday the day we arrived and the staff must have noticed this from my passport. they came to the door with a birthday cake which I thought was a lovely touch.

The beach is great and the hotel is on the best part of the beach as the other reviews had stated. We went for a full body massage on the beach in front of the hotel and it only cost 200thb. We stayed near the pool mostly as we loved it. The pool bar did a happy hour about 5pm which was 2 for 1 cocktails and reduced Autrailian wine for about 80thb. The bar man called "Man" intorduced himself to us on our first day and remembered our names everyday after that he was great. Breakfasts were nice and lots of choices but to be honest you'll never go hungry in Chaweng. We ate at Ninja Crepes mostly in the evening and some lunches which is right accross the road and it was the best food on the island. We couldn't believe what we were getting for so little money.

“A great place to stay”

We stayed here on our honeymoon for 4 nights during the end Aug 2007 and cannot say a bad thing about it.

We stayed in a deluxe studio which is on the upper floor, above the rooms with pool dip. The staff are friendly, the bed is comfortable, they have a dvd player, a great pool and great service on the beach.

Food is great here and for a special evening the British Chef, Ian will cook you up treat. Try the seafood basket if seafood is what you are into.

The Buri Rasa is on a quiet park of the beach, just south of Chaweng central so it's really peaceful and the people seeling things across the beach are not allowed to come right up to you which is a bonus. This is a nice part of the sea too, better than at the north end.

Highly recommened and we would definitly stay here if we went back.

“Great Choice!”

Just returned from 8 nights at Buri Rasa with my wife and our four children. We loved it. I had spent a lot of time reading about different hotels on Samui and trying to decide what would be best for us. I think we made the perfect choice. Buri Rasa is small (just 32 rooms), so it is a very intimate environment. We ended up meeting and speaking to many of the hotel guests (the hotel's complimentary cocktail party certainly helped). Buri Rasa is located on the best part of Chaweng beach (further up the coast the sand on Chaweng is not as fine and there are more rocks in the water).

The staff was excellent. And my kids and we had a great time in the infinity pool and beautiful beach. We were happy staying there with our children, but it would also be perfect for couples travelling without children. I also looked at some hotels on the other side of the island (Maenam and Bo Phut). That side of the island is not as busy as Chaweng. The hotels there were nice, but they were bigger than Buri Rasa and the sand on the beach was not nearly as nice.
